The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has warned that half of the population in Gaza is starving to death and that 9 out of 10 people cannot eat every day due to the lack of food supplies. The conditions in Gaza have made food deliveries almost impossible, further worsening the overcrowded situation in which the refugees find themselves and weakening the healthcare system in the Strip. The Gaza Strip is in the midst of a violent conflict between Jewish settlers and Palestinians in the West Bank. Israeli forces have intensified their airstrikes in the Strip in an attempt to eliminate Hamas and free the hostages, leaving the population terrified and leading the UN to describe the situation as "hell on earth." The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) has denounced the catastrophic impact of the conflict on the health of Palestinians and warned that Gaza's healthcare system is on the brink of collapse. The lack of food, unsanitary conditions, and constant bombardment have created ideal conditions for the spread of diseases. The situation in the city of Khan Yunis, which is surrounded by Israeli tanks, is particularly dire. Residents claim that there are no safe areas left and that they are living in desperate conditions. The lack of food has even affected the medical personnel, who struggle to provide care amid the shortages. The international community has called for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip to stop the suffering of the population. However, Israel has stated that it has no choice but to continue with the airstrikes in its attempt to eliminate Hamas. The situation has become unsustainable, and the humanitarian aid reaching Gaza is insufficient due to the restrictions imposed by Israel and the constant bombings. The humanitarian crisis in Gaza worsens every day, and urgent solutions are needed to end the suffering of the population. The international community must intensify its efforts to achieve a lasting ceasefire and ensure access to humanitarian aid in the Strip. Without immediate measures, the situation in Gaza will continue to worsen, and the population will continue to suffer the consequences of the conflict.
