On Wednesday, July 24, the National Jury of Elections (JNE) carried out an important act by delivering the congressional credential to citizen Ariana Orué Medina. Orué will assume the position left vacant by parliamentarian Enrique Wong, who unfortunately passed away on July 13. This significant event marks a milestone in the legislative representation of the constitutional province of Callao for the period 2021-2026. Ariana Orué, belonging to the Podemos Perú party, assumes with responsibility and commitment the task of representing her community in the Congress of the Republic. In her first statements, the new congresswoman expressed her interest in focusing on overseeing the authorities of Callao, thus showing her determination to safeguard the interests of those she represents and carry out a committed and transparent work. This relevant act was carried out following the procedures established by the JNE, in accordance with current regulations. Resolution No. 0203-2024-JNE was the document that formalized the arrival of Ariana Orué to Congress, following the vacancy left by the death of Enrique Wong. A legal and transparent process that guarantees the legitimacy and legality of her appointment. The recognition of Orué as a new congresswoman responds to the need to complete the legislative representation corresponding to the electoral district of Callao, a commitment assumed after the 2021 General Elections. The apportionment determined the obtaining of a representative from Podemos Perú in that jurisdiction, providing Ariana Orué with the opportunity to assume the responsibility and challenge of representing her community. It is important to highlight that the accreditation of the new parliamentarian was carried out in strict compliance with the Organic Law of the JNE, specifically in its article 5, (letter j), which establishes the responsibility of the electoral body in issuing credentials to elected candidates in the different electoral processes. A process governed by transparency and legality that guarantees the legitimacy of Orué's appointment as a congresswoman. The delivery of the credential to Ariana Orué was marked by a solemn act led by Martha Maisch Molina, who serves as the acting head of the JNE presidency. A significant moment that emphasizes the importance and institutional respect regarding the appointment of representatives of the people in the Congress of the Republic. Orué, in her role as the substitute for Enrique Wong, assumes the commitment to represent and safeguard the interests of those she represents with responsibility and dedication. The appointment of Ariana Orué Medina as the new congresswoman replacing Enrique Wong represents a significant step in the legislative representation of the constitutional province of Callao. Her commitment to overseeing local authorities and her willingness to work for the benefit of her community are aspects that mark the beginning of her parliamentary work. With transparency, legality, and commitment, the new congresswoman prepares to assume with responsibility the challenges that her new role in the Congress of the Republic entails.
