This arrest took place on July 19 as part of the so-called Operation Ramnus, which involved a thorough investigation by various specialized units, such as the Nature Protection Service (Seprona) of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Command and the Central Operational Unit for the Environment (UCOMA) dispatched from Madrid to collaborate on the case. The Civil Guard's intervention was based on meticulous investigative work involving the Criminal Behavior Analysis Section, which managed to establish a profile of the arsonist, pointing to impulsive or "senseless" motivations, characteristic of a pyromaniac. This information was crucial in directing the investigation towards the arrested suspect. The inherent complexity of investigating forest fires was emphasized by the Civil Guard, highlighting the importance of evidence collection and detailed analysis in these cases.
