Israeli Strike on Yemen Port Raises Humanitarian Alarm

Israeli military spokesman Rear Adm. Adam Clements, a retired U.S. Army attaché for Yemen, emphasized that the bombing of the port is more likely to negatively impact ordinary Yemeni citizens than significantly impairing the Houthi militia's capacity to carry out attacks. Clements suggested that striking military targets such as radar sites or launch sites could have been more effective in disrupting Houthi activities without exacerbating the plight of civilians.
