In the midst of a devastating and heartbreaking scenario, the Gaza Strip has witnessed an unprecedented escalation of violence in the last 24 hours, with at least 55 Palestinians killed as a result of attacks by the Israeli Army. With this tragic figure, the total number of fatalities in Gaza during the nine months of war has surpassed the staggering number of 38,000 dead and 87,828 injured, according to data from the Gaza Ministry of Health. The Ministry of Health, controlled by the Islamist group Hamas, has denounced that in the last 24 hours, three massacres against families in the Gaza Strip have been committed, resulting in the deaths of dozens of people and leaving over a hundred injured. Among the deceased are minors, further exacerbating the humanitarian tragedy that the region is experiencing. Israeli attacks have not only claimed victims in urban areas, but also in areas where rescuers and ambulances face difficulties in accessing, greatly hindering rescue and aid efforts for the civilian population. Furthermore, the presence of bodies under the rubble has increased uncertainty and suffering for the affected families. The city of Al Zawaida in the center of the Gaza Strip was the scene of one of the deadliest attacks, with six people killed, including two young children. Likewise, in the city of Gaza, there were more human losses due to an Israeli incursion on Route 8, which resulted in two additional deaths. These and other bombings have plunged the region into a state of constant fear and unease. The cruelty of war has also been evident in the city of Rafah, where the Israeli Army claimed to have eliminated 30 alleged militants in a single day. Additionally, numerous attacks were reported in other locations such as Deir al Balah and the refugee camps of Nuseirat, Bureij, and Maghazi, claiming the lives of dozens of innocent people living in precarious conditions. A particularly tragic incident took place at a school run by the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) in Nuseirat, where an attack resulted in 16 deaths and 75 injuries among the displaced seeking shelter there. Although the Israeli Army claimed the target was to neutralize terrorists, Hamas denied the presence of its militants in the area, labeling the statements as "lies and deceit." The humanitarian situation in Gaza is becoming increasingly critical, with over 90% of the population displaced and facing serious shortages of food, water, medicine, and fuel. The war triggered by an initial attack by the Islamist group has left a devastating toll, with hundreds of lives lost and immense suffering that seems endless. Amidst this grim landscape, the international community has called for a ceasefire and dialogue to end the violence and seek peaceful solutions to the conflict in Gaza. Meanwhile, the civilian population continues to pay the highest price in a seemingly endless conflict, with entire families shattered and entire communities plunged into despair and pain.
