Trump's doctor says the bullet was 6 millimeters away from entering his head: "It's a miracle he wasn't killed"

Former President of the United States, Donald Trump, has recently made headlines due to an assassination attempt he suffered a week ago during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Dr. Ronny Jackson, who was his official physician during his tenure, detailed that the bullet wound he suffered was less than a quarter of an inch (approximately 6 millimeters) away from entering his head, which he described as an "absolute miracle" that it did not result in a greater tragedy.

In a letter sent to the U.S. Congress, Dr. Jackson explained that the bullet hit the upper part of Trump's right ear, producing a 2 cm wide wound that extended to the cartilaginous surface of the ear. This injury caused significant swelling in the area, although it is currently in the process of healing and recovery.

The former president is recovering satisfactorily, according to the doctor, who has been closely monitoring his progress since the incident. Despite the swelling decreasing and the wound healing properly, the ear continues to experience intermittent bleeding that requires continuous care, including the placement of a bandage to control it.

Trump was initially treated by the medical staff at Memorial Hospital in Butler, who conducted a thorough evaluation to detect any additional injuries. Additionally, a CT scan of the head was performed to rule out internal complications due to the impact of the bullet.

Dr. Jackson has accompanied the former president to various public events since the incident, including last week's Republican convention, where Trump made his first appearance with the bandage on his ear. He will also be present at the rally to be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan, marking the first political event after the attack.

Following the assassination attempt carried out by a 20-year-old who shot at Trump with an assault weapon, Dr. Jackson expressed concern and decided to travel to Bedminster, New Jersey, to personally verify the former president's health status and offer him medical assistance.

Trump is expected to continue to be periodically evaluated, including a comprehensive hearing examination, to ensure his prompt and complete recovery. Despite the emotional and physical impact of this incident, the former president remains steadfast and determined to move forward with his political commitments, once again demonstrating his resilience in the face of adversity.
