In recent years, we have witnessed extreme phenomena that remind us of the reality of climate change. Droughts, heatwaves, wildfires, floods, and other natural disasters that are not as "natural" as some would like to believe. The accelerated emission of greenhouse gases since the mid-20th century has significantly contributed to these increasingly frequent and devastating events. Despite overwhelming scientific evidence supporting this correlation, some sectors prefer to deny the climate crisis, prioritizing short-term economic interests over the long-term sustainability of our planet. The fires that ravage thousands of hectares in different parts of the world, the floods that displace entire communities, the destruction of ecosystems, and the loss of biodiversity are just some of the visible consequences of the climate crisis. Behind these disasters, there is nothing "natural," but rather human decisions that have contributed to worsening the impact of climate change. Capitalist production, driven by large economic corporations, has transformed the Earth's balance and led us to an unprecedented global ecological catastrophe. The financialization of the economy, the excessive exploitation of natural resources, economic inequality, and the lack of effective regulations are some of the causes that have exacerbated the climate crisis. The irresponsibility of corporations and the lack of action by governments to address this problem have brought humanity to the brink. As the consequences of the climate crisis become increasingly evident, some world leaders continue to deny the reality of climate change, putting the future of future generations at risk. It is essential to recognize that no disaster is natural and that it is necessary to take responsibility for our actions. Denying climate change only perpetuates the crisis and hinders the adoption of effective measures to combat it. It is urgent to transform production processes, prohibit destructive practices, and demand that authorities take concrete measures to mitigate the impact of climate change. Humanity's survival on the planet depends on our ability to act collectively and responsibly. The challenge of climate change requires a global approach involving all sectors of society. It is necessary to prioritize environmental sustainability over short-term economic interests and adopt concrete measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, protect biodiversity, and preserve natural resources. Denying climate change only takes us further from the solution and closer to the environmental abyss in which we find ourselves. The climate crisis is not a problem of the future; it is a reality that we are experiencing in the present. The lack of action and the denial of the severity of the situation only distance us from the possibility of reversing the damage caused to the planet. It is time to assume our responsibility, demand significant changes in our consumption habits, and pressure governments and companies to take concrete actions to combat climate change. The future of humanity is at stake, and only together can we face this challenge and build a more sustainable world for future generations.
